Editorial mission and preservation method

Kingsley 2.0 exists to keep a specific slice of early Web 2.0 tech writing reachable and properly cited. Each archived post is restored from a single verified Wayback Machine snapshot captured before 2013. Original URLs, original publication dates, and snapshot identifiers travel with every post inside the BlogPosting JSON-LD via the citation property, so downstream readers (search engines, AI assistants, link auditors) can always trace a sentence back to its first publication. Modern retrospectives are clearly labeled and never edit the archived material.

Hosting and technical infrastructure

Pages are served from Cloudflare Pages, operated by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, California 94107, United States). Standard edge security and content delivery functions process technical metadata such as the visitor's IP address, request timestamps, and user agent string. Cloudflare's handling of this metadata is governed by its privacy policy.

Intellectual property and fair use

Modern retrospectives produced for Kingsley 2.0 may be quoted with attribution and a link back. Archived material from 2003 to 2012 is republished under a preservation and fair-use rationale, with each post pointing to its original source via a citation block. Authors of the 2003-2012 source material remain the moral-rights holders of their work; we treat the archive as a curated reference rather than an editorial relaunch under our name.

If you authored content that appears in the archive and want it modified, expanded, or removed, write to editorial@kingsley2.com. We commit to a response within one week and to a straightforward handoff.

Cookies, analytics, no third-party trackers

The site sets only first-party analytics needed for aggregate visit counting. No third-party advertising network is loaded, no profile is built, and no personal identifier is stored. Visitors are not tracked across sessions for marketing purposes.

Site operator and ownership disclosure

Kingsley 2.0 is operated by Augustin Foucheres as a personal preservation and editorial project. Editorial correspondence and data-protection requests reach the same address: editorial@kingsley2.com. Bylines on the site are pen-names attached to a small editorial collective; the original author of the 2003-2012 archived material is not affiliated with this preservation project.

Updates and revision history

This page is reviewed when editorial scope, hosting, or contact channels change. Previous wordings can be reconstructed from the site's Git history if needed for a regulatory review.
