World’s first open-source movie features Bill Gates’s assassination

Nothing So Strange is the world’s first open-source movie. While the movie itself(or atleast, the director’s cut of the movie) is copyrighted, the footage on which the movie is based is available for sale under a Creative Commons licence.

The movie seems to have an interesting plot. Some of the footage on offer, for instance, is of the cinematized assassination of Bill Gates. A clip of Bill Gates’ assassination footage is available for free. The clipping has been doing the rounds by email, another effort at viral marketing that’s turbo-powered by gullibility. Just in case anyone gets any ideas, this is a movie people. Deal with it. Just because its grainy and on the Internet doesn’t mean its true.
