Google in your Mozhi

After all the hullaballoo about Google redirecting Indian users to a Hindi page’s died down, I’d like to draw attention to all the volunteers who translated Google to Indian languages. I don’t think many people know that the entire translation was a volunteer effort, one that I’m proud to say I participated in. And cheers to Marissa Mayer at Google who personally wrote to all volunteers and offered Google stuff (I picked a t-shirt) to show appreciation.

PS: Yes, I know, the translation is flawed in places. But it doesn’t take away from the tremendous utility.
